“33 and 1/3” is combination of bands that occupied the local scene from McAllen to Austin and Dallas in the early days of Rock & Roll and the British Invasion. They are veteran Texas musicians playing the classics they were a part of in the 60’s & 70’s.
All from a number of bands (The Souls, The Headstones, Firefly and The Clique) in that era, they enjoyed radio airplay for original tunes and concerts at Armadillo Headquarters and other venues. Having regrouped several years ago, they more recently appeared at benefits for the Dell Children’s Hospital and various private events and the original “Souls” playing at South by Southwest In the “Texas Original Garage Band” category. 33 and 1/3 also jammed at the 1st Annual Operation American Muscle!
They are continuing with their “Rock and Roll Will Never Die” ethic and are excited to have been invited to perform at the 3rd Annual Operation American Muscle car Show benefiting Wounded Warrior Project at Camp Mabry this October 1st. They are looking forward to bringing old favorites and some Muscle Car Rock to the club motorheads and our Wounded Warriors.
